Michelle Serrano, student arrested in 1969

On this first day of Black History Month, we look back on a sometimes forgotten moment of Montreal’s history: the Sir George Williams University protest of 1969. It became one of the one of the largest student occupations in Canadian history. Michelle Serano was one of the students involved.
